God's delays are not denials
The Lord always hears our prayers but
He doesn't always say "yes"
Sometimes he says "wait"
Sometimes he says "no" for He has
Something better for us.
The Lord always hears our prayers but
He doesn't always say "yes"
Sometimes he says "wait"
Sometimes he says "no" for He has
Something better for us.
God's delays are not denials,
He has heard your prayers
He knows all bout your trials.
He knows your every care
He has heard your prayers
He knows all bout your trials.
He knows your every care
God's delays are not denials
He helps us on the way.
He is watching 'O' life's trials
Bringing forth that day.
He helps us on the way.
He is watching 'O' life's trials
Bringing forth that day.
God's delays are not denials
You will find Him through,
Working through darkest trials
What is best for you. When God does not immediately respond
To the cries of His children
It is because He wants to accomplish
Some gracious purpose in their lives.
You will find Him through,
Working through darkest trials
What is best for you. When God does not immediately respond
To the cries of His children
It is because He wants to accomplish
Some gracious purpose in their lives.
If you are waiting for an answer
Of some of your heartfelt petitions
Don't become impatient
Commit the matter into the Hands of
Your Heavenly Father and trust His Wisdom
Of some of your heartfelt petitions
Don't become impatient
Commit the matter into the Hands of
Your Heavenly Father and trust His Wisdom
Our heavenly Father never takes something
Away from us unless He intends to give us
Something better in return.
Away from us unless He intends to give us
Something better in return.
Some of the most beautiful music in our
World has come from people
Who have been seasoned by trials
World has come from people
Who have been seasoned by trials
Therefore let HIM handle the situation

No Time to bother with Religion
One of the most inspiring thinkers of the 20th century is Dietrich
Bonhoeffer. Actually, he was not just a theologian and writer--but a
doer--so much of a doer that his work in the German resistance
movement during World War II led him to be imprisoned and finally
killed in a concentration camp. Born in Breslau, Germany in 1906,
Bonhoeffer understood, even before Hitler came to power, the dangers
of a political system that made an idol or god of a leader or a system.
He was a pastor and teacher, and eventually was involved with an
underground plot against Hitler, even though some argued with him that
it would be wiser to withdraw from the activities. Bonhoeffer
responded that if persons claim to be persons of faith, there is no
room for taking the easy way out.
He was arrested in 1943 and sent to prison and various concentration
camps. In prison, he ministered to the sick and to his fellow
prisoners, and it was reported that he was able to comfort the anxious
and depressed in an amazing way. Ultimately, he was executed by
special order at the concentration camp at Flossenburg on April 9,
1945, just a few days before it was liberated by the Allies. (From
"Memoir," G. Leibholz, in Cost of Discipleship.)
I tend to pay attention to strong words written by someone who has
given their life for what they believe. Bonehoeffer says: "None of us
is so rushed that it would be impossible to allow for even ten minutes
in the day in which arrangements could be made for silence, in order
to place oneself in the presence of Eternity."
I also found this intriguing: "You do not have your belief once and
for all. Your belief demands to be won anew tomorrow and the day after
tomorrow; indeed, it demands to be won anew with every new day...
Either we receive faith anew every day or it decays... Every morning
brings a new struggle to push through all the unbelief, through all
the littleness of faith, through all the vagueness and confusion--to
reach faith and wrest it from God." He reminds us: "If the [Bible] has
become empty for me in my daily routine, if I no longer experience it,
that proves I have not let it speak personally to me for a long time."
Countless persons have died for their faith throughout the ages. They
paid the ultimate test. Too many of us claim we can't be bothered to
even live what we believe.
Perhaps you started some good habits during Lent--including taking
time for spiritual meditation. Don't let Easter be the end of it--let
it be the beginning of a deeper and active commitment to your faith.

Luke 13:14
Today's scripture is Luke 13:14
"And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because
that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people,
There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore
come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day."
Religion is dangerous. Religion would rather debate about healing
than see somebody healed. Religion would rather argue about
deliverance than see somebody set free.
Remember that next time someone tries to get you sidetracked into
a religious debate about healing or deliverance. If someone needs
to be delivered from a demon, just do it! That's the difference
between religion and the love of God. Religion argues. Love acts.
Choose love today.

Goodbye Anthony
Today the Heavenly Father called my dear cousin Anthony (Vinay) to paradise. Anthony was quite a nice guy, he was a lot like me, i'm gonna miss him. He died peacefully in his sleep; when God calls you have to go wherever you are. He was only 20 years old. His death taught me one thing don't take life for granted you might be here today and tommorow you might not be. Therefore settle your scores by the end of the day. I know I shall meet him in paradise when I'm called there. Till then Anthony.............

A Letter to terrorists who dare to target us
Dear Terrorist,
Even if you are not reading this we dont care. Time and again you tried to disturb us and disrupt our life - killing innocent civilians by planting bombs in trains buses and cars. You have tried hard to bring death and destruction, cause panic and fear and create communal disharmony but every time you were disgustingly unsuccessful. Do you know how we pass our life in Mumbai
How much it takes for us to earn that single rupee
If you wanted to give us a shock then we are sorry to say that you failed miserably in your ulterior motives. Better look elsewhere not here.
We are not Hindus, Christians and Muslims or Gujaratis and Marathis or Punjabis and Bengaliies or Tamlians and Malyalees or Assameese or Telegus. Nor do we distinguish ourselves as owners or workers govt. employees or private employees. We are MUMBAIKERS (Bombay-ites if you like). Above all we are INDIANS not chickens and mice and we won't succumb to your dastardly acts. We will not allow you to disrupt our life like this. On the last few occasions when you struck (including the 7 deadly blasts in a single day killing over 250 people and injuring 500+ in 1993) we went to work next day in full strength. This time we cleared everything within a few hours and were back to normal - the vendors placing their next order businessmen finalizing the next deals and the office workers rushing to catch the next train. (Yes the same train you targeted)
Fathom this: Within 3 hours of the blasts, long queues of blood donating volunteers were seen outside various hospital where most of the injured were admitted. By 12 midnight the hospital had to issue a notification that blood banks were full and they didnt require any more blood. The next day, attendance at schools and office was close to 100%, trains & buses were packed to the brim the crowds were back.
The city has simply dusted itself off and moved one - perhaps with greater vigor.
We are Mumbaikers and we live like brothers in times like this. So do not dare to threaten us with your crackers. The spirit of Mumbai is very strong and can not be harmed.
If you are a terrorist and you manage to get this please learn that there is no point attacking us because we will never let your intentions succeed. Like Winston Churchill said, "We will do our best and let them do their worst."..Mr/Ms Terrorist you will not succed because you picked the wrong city of the wrong country to attack.
If you really think you are brave try attacking our millitary and you will come to know where you really are
With Love

In The Lord's Army
A friend was in front of me coming out of church one day, and the preacher was standing at the door as he always was to shake hands. He grabbed my friend by the hand and pulled him aside.
The Pastor said to him, "You need to join the Army of the Lord!"
My friend replied, "I'm already in the Army of the Lord, Pastor."
So the Pastor questioned, "Then how come I don't see you except at Christmas and Easter?"
He whispered back, "I'm in the Secret Service."

Why do we put up with nonsense given to us by our elected leaders?
Where are we taking our nation to? Why do we criticize our politicians all the time? When will we realize that we the people are the future of the country? I think it is time to stop putting up with poor civic ammenities like bad roads etc. Certain people may ask me are you crazy enough to believe that the government will repair theroads on it's own? No, my dear friends i'm not that stupid or naive but I believe that the constitution of our nation gave us the right to choose our leaders by voting for them and to throw them out of office by voting against them. As law abiding citizens we can demand for wht should rightfully be ours like better roads, continuous supply of metred power, portable water flowing through out taps. Trust me if enough people complain about it for long enough to frustrate a politician or bearucrat into taking action the roads may be better, wider and less bumpy.

Heavenly comp contest
The Computer Contest
One day Jesus and Satan were arguing about who had the greatest computer skills. They argued and argued. When they had drawn a crowd of onlookers and were still going at it hot and heavy, the angels--fallen and not--started to take sides and make bets.
Well God had had quite enough of this and decided to intervene. He told Jesus and Satan that there would be a progamming contest between the two that would settle the argument of who was better. They both began programming day and night to win the contest. They were at their computers for an eternity when ZAP came a flash of lightning from God and their screens went blank.
The day of reckoning had come. "Well, let's see what you have done", said God.
So, Satan reboots his computer calls up his program and the screen is blank. Nothing! He turns, smiles and looks at Jesus.
Jesus reboots his computer, calls up his program, and an infinite universe appears: Colorful, luminescent, in breathtaking 3-D, with populations of people and animals, building, working, eating, loving, giving birth, and dying.
"THAT'S NOT FAIR," shouted Satan.
"Oh, yes it is," God said, "Jesus saves."

God, Are You Listening?
A man was walking through a forest pondering life. He walked, pondered, walked, and pondered. He felt very close to nature and even close to God. He felt so close to God that he felt if he spoke God would listen. So he asked, "God, are you listening?"
And God replied, "Yes my son, I am here."
The man stopped and pondered some more.
He looked towards the sky and said, "God, what is a million years to you?"
God replied, "Well my son, a second to me is like a million years to you."
So the man continued to walk and to ponder... walk and ponder... Then he looked to the sky again and said, "God, what is a million dollars to you?"
And God replied, "My son, my son...a penny to me is like a million dollars to you. It means almost nothing to me. It does not even have a value it is so little."
The man looked down, pondered a bit and then looked up to the sky and said, "God, can I have a million dollars?"
And God replied, "In a second."
